Some manufacturers indicate glove sizes by Small, Medium, Large, etc. We alway indicate the size of a pair of gloves the same way the manufacturer does.
A good way to determine your glove size is to lay a ruler on a table and place your left hand, flat with palm down, over the ruler and measure across your palm at the knuckles.

3-1/4" = Small (sizes 5,6,7)

3-3/4" = Medium (sizes 8,9)

4-1/4" = Large (sizes10,11)

5" = X Large (sizes 12,13)
