55 MM Collagen Middles

These non edible Collagen Casings can be used when drying products such as salami, summer sausage and pepperoni 

  • Clear
  • Meat cling - Will shrink with the meat as the meat is dried
  • Used to make Summer Sausage
  • Will stuff 1-1/2 lb. of meat - Remember weight varies with ingredients such as salt so you may get more or less stuffed into each casing.
  • 15" Long
  • 55 mm (2-3/16") fill diameter 
Cody's Tip: 
  • Soak in 15 to 20% salt water for 3 to 5 minutes - max
  •  If soaked in plain water or soaked too long the casing will absorb too much water and weaken
