These non edible Collagen Casings can be used when drying products such as salami, summer sausage and pepperoni

  • Clear
  • Meat cling - Will shrink with the meat as the meat is dried
  • Used to make Summer Sausage
  • Will stuff 2-1/2 lb. of meat - Remember weight varies with ingredients such as salt so you may get more or less stuffed into each casing.
  • 24" Long
  • 55 mm (2-3/16") fill diameter
Cody's Tip:
  •  Soak in 15 to 20% salt water for 3 to 5 minutes - max -   If soaked in plain water or soaked too long the casing will absorb too much water and weaken

Good Casing

We have been using this casing for the past 3 years. It is a good one, no issues so far. The only problem is with the description. It states that it would stuff 2 and 1/4 pounds of meat. We just did a batch with a few fiends and instead of 100 pieces we stuffed only 88. When we measured, it turns out that these casings are stuffing 3 to 3 and 1/4 pounds of meat. Initially it was confusing why the count does not add up since the meat weight was matching the initial calculation. No harm done, except for the fight i had with my wife ;-)
