Fermenting Lid Kit
Use this fermenting lid kit on any wide mouth quart or wide mouth half-gallon canning jars Kit provides • Airlock • Hard plastic lid (bpa free) • Rubber seal • Recipe for garlic dill pickles You provide • Glass jars • Ring How to use pickle- proPush airlock thru the rubber grommet so tip is on the other side - You may have to twist a bit as not to push the grommet out of position. Fill jar with food you intent to ferment, stopping one Inch from top of the jar. Pour fermenting liquid, salt brine, whey or lactic starter culture over the food to cover it leaving one inch air space from the top of the jar. Place the Pickle-Pro lid with the rubber seal on the canning jar and tighten with a canning ring. Remove top of airlock add water up to the line, place top back on the airlock. The fermenting process starts immediately. Once the fermenting is done simply remove the pickle-pro lid and seal your jar with a regular metal canning lid.
